The Handy Bro respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at www.thehandybro.life, our online estimate and contact forms, our text messaging program, and the services we provide.

We are a mobile service business and do not operate a public storefront. A mailing address is available on request.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, service address, a description of the work you need (including photos you send), appointment and service history, and notes from our calls, texts, and emails. Payment information is handled by our payment provider.

Information collected automatically on our website: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how you found us (such as a Google ad, search, Yelp, or Thumbtack), and cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to respond to estimate requests and schedule appointments, perform the work you hire us for, send quotes and invoices, provide customer support, follow up after a job, keep records of past work at your property, measure and improve our website and advertising, and meet legal, tax, insurance, and accounting obligations. We send marketing emails or text messages only if you have chosen to receive them.

4. Text Messages (SMS)

Text messaging is optional. Providing your phone number does not sign you up for text messages. You opt in by choosing to: by checking the text message consent box on our online estimate request form, by texting us first, or by asking us to text you when you call. If you do not opt in, we will contact you by phone or email instead.

If you opt in, we send messages about your service, such as visit reminders, arrival notifications, estimate responses, quotes, invoices, and scheduling updates. Marketing text messages are sent only if you check the separate, optional marketing text box on our form.

Message frequency varies with your activity, generally 2–6 messages per job or estimate request. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of all text messages at any time by replying STOP, or opt out of marketing texts only by replying STOP MKT. For help, reply HELP or contact us at (951) 535-2522 or bmhudson2023@gmail.com.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except with the vendors that help us deliver the messaging service.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:

Jobber, our field service software, which stores estimate requests, scheduling, quotes, invoices, and client communication.
Our payment provider, which receives what it needs to process your payment.
Messaging and email providers, which deliver our texts and emails on our behalf.
Helpers and subcontractors, if a job requires extra help, limited to the details needed to do the work.
Advertising and analytics providers, described in Section 6.
Professional advisors and legal requirements, such as our accountant or insurer, or where required by law.
A buyer of our business, if it is sold or merged.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads for The Handy Bro to you on Google and across the web based on your past visits to our site.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including an encrypted (HTTPS) website, reputable software vendors with their own security programs, password-protected accounts, and limited access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep client and job records as long as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, and meet tax, insurance, and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to records we are required to keep.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, unsubscribe from marketing emails, reply STOP to opt out of text messages (or STOP MKT for marketing texts only), opt out of personalized advertising using the links in Section 6, or ask us not to photograph your completed project. California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money.
